Synopsis

Fabrice di Falco, a singer from Martinique nicknamed the "Creole Farinelli", tells his own story and the one of his island, writing letters, punctuated by his interpretation of musical masterpieces from Vivaldi to Pergolesi, not forgetting the Chevalier de Saint-Georges, Mozart, Joplin, Barbara, Hendricks, Gershwin, Cole Porter, Edith Lefel and Jenny Alpha. Accompanied by his double bass player Julien Leleu, Jonathan Goyvaertz on piano, Aurélien Pasquet on drums and traditional flautist Max Cilla, Fabrice di Falco offers us a historical and musical fresco ranging from opera to biguine, the music of the French Antilles, via blues and jazz. In this concert-documentary that celebrates cultural cross-fertilisation, Fabrice di Falco is both an ambassador for opera and a messenger of Creole traditions and cultures.
