Synopsis
Trans Kabar, a maloya rock group, offers an electric version of the mystical rites of Reunion Island to create "trans maloya" music. Their inspiration comes from Servis Kabaré, a ceremony derived from the rituals of the slaves, of communion with the ancestors through music and dance. Often rejected, banned, almost forgotten, this rite has survived underground. Trans Kabar brings it up to date. The four artists leave plenty of room for improvisation around the voice and kayamb to immerse themselves in the laments of an island blues.
