Synopsis
A documentary based on the experience of three English women who lived in Madeira in the mid-nineteenth century.Two of them, Emily Shore and Emily Geneviève Smith, remained in the Island for health reasons. Isabella de França, the third protagonist of the documentary, visited the Island on her wedding trip.Her account of the trip represents one of the most important records of the time and it ends with the expression “Beautiful Madeira”, the title of the doc.A beautiful trip throughout the picturesque, exotic and unique Madeira Island.
