Synopsis
Late 90s. ISMAIL ABDOUL (24) is a talented young boxer, ready to make it. His Mauritanian father AZZIZ (69) and Belgian mother MARTHA (47) have raised him and his brother HAKIM (14) with the Islamic values and norms. Ismail is obsessed by his father’s idea that respect always has to be unconditionally mutual and that one can only earn respect as a fighter in the boxing ring. Consequently, Ismail has only one goal: to reach the absolute top as a boxer.
