Synopsis
The Adventure of the Panda is a six-episode documentary and observation programme on the culture and humanities of the giant panda, directed by the Publicity Department of the State Administration of Radio and Television (SARFT) and the Publicity Centre of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration (SFAGA) and supported by the China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda (CCRCPGP) and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Radio and Television (BBTA), and co-produced by Beijing Satellite Television (BST) and Sichuan Satellite Television (SSTV).The programme focuses on the birth of the giant panda, the growth of the giant panda, the wild release of the giant panda, the circle of friends of the giant panda, international exchanges and co-operation through the giant panda, as well as the panda's happy and peaceful ‘old age’ life.As of 28th December 2024, ‘The Adventure of the Panda’ has a total network coverage of over 1.17 billion, a network topic readership of over 930 million, a network video playback of 240 million, and 89 network hot search lists, which not only attracts widespread attention in China, but also achieves millions of airtime on overseas platforms, and becomes a bridge connecting China and abroad to pass on the concept of ecological civilisation.
