Evo Car of the Year

Synopsis

Each year the international magazine Evo decides on the Car of the Year and in 2020, viewers will have exclusive behind the scenes access to the intense testing and judging process of the world’s most exciting cars over 2 x 1 hour programmes produced in 4K using a variety of ground, effects, on board and aerial cameras all to Greenlight’s usual high production values. Programme 1 - The cars are put through their paces on the circuit, being driven to their max, there is no place to hide. Over the next three days every bit of car is pushed to the limits and sometimes beyond. We find out what’s great, what’s not, what surprises and what disappoints. As the days progress a leaderboard starts to emerge. Only the top 8 will survive and travel to the Scottish Borders to be driven on some of the best driving roads in Europe. Programme 2 - The top 8, (over a 1 million pounds worth of automotive art), travel from Wales to Scotland to be driven in the real world. Over 3 days the cars are driven at road legal speeds, the leaderboard starts to settle down and the leading contenders emerge. How do these cars cope with everyday driving. Is it possible/practical to use a Supercar everyday? Now ready for the final scoring. After one more day’s driving the scores are in and we have the EVO Car of the Year.
