Synopsis

The film explores the valley by celebrating life in an unprecedented, undisturbed and undisputed Way. It is an eternal road of a spiritual voyage that absorbs the fragrances of the soil wherever it travels. The Documentary revolves around Sufism and Folk Culture of Kashmir. Various Folk Music forms like Chhakri and Ruuf are captured in the film. The treatment of Echoes is contemporary but yet comes out in the utmost purest form. Echoes is about folk music, theatre and traditional dances of the valley. These culturally rich forms are eventually dying out today amidst severe violence that exists in the valley. The cultural influences have deep impacts from Central Asian countries like Iran, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan that also largely reflects in their culture.
