Synopsis

Deeply moving and hilariously funny Three half sisters from three different fathers are faced with the imminent death of their mother and ask themselves: 'Where do we stand? What are we to each other now?' And above all: 'What do we do with our autistic brother John?' When April, May and June's critically ill mother realises she does not have long to live, she summons her daughters to her house. She cannot let go of life until she knows that her son John will be looked after. When confronted with this question, however, the women quickly come to realise that none of them feel qualified to take on this task. In the process the sisters also become aware that over the years, they have drifted apart from each other as well as from their brother. The four of them will have to get to know each other all over again if they want to support each other in the difficult time ahead.
