Synopsis
Janka is an intimate portrait dedicated to Janina Ochojska, head of the Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH). In the film, the present intertwines with memories from her childhood, while photos are combined with animations and archive 16mm video material. When she was still a small child, Janina Ochojska came down with polio. Her strong personality is the effect of countless hospital treatments, surgeries, longing for her family, but also the unique education she had access to while away from home. Janka became an astronomer, but many journeys she made quite unexpectedly and people she met traveling have made her discover the true vocation.
